  Safavid murals are a part of Iran's graphic heritage which have experienced 400 years of damage to their being and soul. Yet, this has not has diminished their beauty but, in fact, replenished them with outstanding glory and grace. Recreating and concentrating on the murals in contemporary Iranian painting is a personal decision. It is a glance at the passage of time and the value of what has remained with us beyond history in order to realize and understand our relation and distance with the history of painting of that era. The whole story and the graphic reading of Safavid murals are based on omitting the obedience of the artists of that era. But despite the harms and damages acted upon them I have tried to convert my laments and regrets into an aesthetic experience
